I am trying to make an amazon.com-esque site. I have all the graphical things in place but to tell you the truth I have no idea how to code cookies and and java and would appreciate it very much if someone helped me code it. I am an html kinda guy and have no experience whatsoever with java or cookies. Also I tried implenting other methods of doing this but honestly it isn't going to work unless its done with cookies and java.

I know what I have to do,I just don't know how. Here is what i am trying to do:

Assign every user a unique ID number. I have three items that are for sale. At each of those items own page there must be a form allowing them to add it to their shopping cart and enter a quantity. The shopping cart must be on every page. When looking at their shopping cart, users must be able to change the quantity of added items, or remove them completely. Finally, after the user finishes shopping they have to checkout and at the checkout page enter all their personal information into a form and have that saved somewhere. Once they enter all the information and click submit show them a nice table with all the items they ordered, how much it costs, and the total.

Thats it, I would be extremly appreciative of anyone willing to help me.

Your going to need to use a serverside language, such as php, asp, perl, try posting your question in the server side forums. :)
