Please comment on this site (http://www.chilipie.co.uk/mos/) and tell me what you think. The main things I am looking for are:
Typos.
Code errors.
and general design faults.
Thanks.
blimey, who am I to tell others about faults. ??
anyhow, I just got one suggestion. I can se that most of your pages fit in the window without the need to scroll. Have you considered making the heights of each page the same and centering the 'box' vertically and laterally so that, for example, your home page would be in the centre of the window?
apart from that, if you can spell opthalmotwhatever ok then your spoolling is better than mine. :)

LOL - It's the first time I've realised the full power of Copy + Paste :p .

What to say? Attractive design, well-built code; very nice job. What strikes me is that all pages are rather small, but if there's no more content, what can you do?

Dude, if could have made something like that at 13 I'd be a rich man by now
My only real gripe is the same as those before me -- the home page is too short; it gives a bad impression of the company if it appears they don't have much that's worth saying straight up. Perhaps a floated image or two in there would lighten things up.
Actually, better idea...
What the heck is ophthalmology??? Don't answer me here, put one well structured paragraph under the comapny intro on the home page to explain to us mere mortals what ophthalmologists do... Sites that have a narrow audience to begin with need to invite interested users in via simple information using non-technical language; not scare them off with mumbo jumbo :)

I only have about half the content I think - the archives section will hopefully have lots of presentations/articles as soon as the MOS have got in touch with the authors to make sure it's alright.

Good ideas mindless  . I'll see if they've got any pictures of people from the team, otherwise I'll have to spend some quality time with my photo collection :) .
BTW, it isn't a company, it's "A society of ophthalmologists dedicated to the advancement of the knowledge, understanding and practice of ophthalmology."

i think some graphics on the main page wouldnt go amiss either. Possibly a picture of a friendly optican carrying out an eye test maybe...

I'll see what I can do :) . Problem is, they haven't given me a lot of the content yet, and I'm still waiting for the go ahead to register the domain name.

How about this as a header image? (see attachment)
:D:D:D
I crack myself up. Seriously, though, any splash of image or color should help things out a bit...

No problem, although don't use the same image I did (I just nicked a eye photo off of Google; probably not kosher to use it for a commercial site without paying for it).
I was going to try for big googly eyes through whatever it is opticians strap to your face during an eye test but didn't know where to find that one :)
