Hi!

Can anyone point me to an SEO equivalent of codingforums.com, (or maybe some mods could add an SEO forum to codingforums?), or to some articles on the subject.

I am mostly interested at the moment in the new MSN search product as I am coming up as #136 for my main search term in it yet I am #9 on Google.

Well, the article tells me essentially that MSN's new search uses similar criteria to Google. However something in their algorithim is different for sure. Hopefully they're still trying to get it right as I know from familiarity with some of the sites in the search results I saw that they're not in the best order at all.

So, still looking to improve my placement on MSN's search, and hoping they'll make the search better. :)

John ;)

What we know:
Keywords are useless because of abuse of that technology by spammers and the like; all sites are indexed by body content, and that is also influenced by how properly you code your site (using semantics -- does your logo/tag sit in an h1 tag or is it in a table only or a font tag -- how would google know it's important if it's just in a font tag -- code your pages like outlines).

Here's an experienced blogger you can ask as well:

Webmasterworld is generally considered one of the definitive sources for SEO, especially Google: http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/
