View Full Version : Microsoft Works to Excel

I am 99% sure that I've done this before... I have an 'old' file that was made in spreadsheet with Microsoft Works and I don't have Works anymore, but I do have Excel. So I need to open it in that and I am having trouble finding the correct converter. Right now it's opening very strangely and unreadable. I downloaded a pack of converters for Office XP but apparently they're mostly for Word Perfect to Office, etc.

Any ideas?

thanks

Open Excel, then do a file open, under file type select MS Works *.wks, then open your file. After it opens, save it as an Excel file; .xls.

Unfortunately, that's not working for me... :(
Thanks!

Send me the file at craigt56@hotmail.com and I'll see if I can save it as an Excel file.

I appreciate the offer but while the information is not that important necessarily, it is quite sensitive. Thank you though :-D

I think I will just go with how it is now, I think I can salvage some of the mess at least.
Thanks ;-)
