VHS to DVD

I have some homemade VHS tapes that I would like to get to DVD (also web-formats).

What does everyone recommend for this?

What's top among the USB video 'cards,' the regular cards, and DVD recorders? What's best among them all?

I converted my VHS using the input on my TV tuner card, just record in whatever format you wish, be it VCD, DVD, AVI, or whatever. You can pick up a tuner card for around 30-50 dollars.

Thanks both -- I was considering the tv card, but I am thinking now of going more towards a dvd recorder and then software to get it into the computer for web viewing.
