I just installed WinXP SP2 on my new machine, and encountered a slight problem. I run as a normal user (not as admin), my new keyboard and mouse are bluetooth. My old keyboard and a mouse are non-bluetooth wireless, and I have a reserve mouse that is wired. Now, SP2 suddenly asks me to log on as admin so that I can install the bluetooth hub. So, the new keyboard and mouse are unusable until I have entered the admin password, which requires a working keyboard. For some reason, the old wireless doesn't work any longer either, but for what reason I do not know. The reserve mouse works, though.
So, anyone of you have a solution for this when I have only access to mouse in the GUI, or if I go for the repair functionality, admin with keyboard but only the textual command line interface? I don't really want to have to repeat the installation process again...
