My mom is perticular about the way her desktop looks and it drives me and my brother insane that we have put up with her 800x600 resolution. Is there a way so that when ever my brother or I log on the screen resolution changes to 1024x768 and when we log off it goes back to 800x600?

all that should be accomplished with the user login settings, that should be user specific. What os are you using?

do you have different user profiles set up for you and the rest of your family?

Yes, we each have our own profile.

Microsoft says you can't:

They say for a little money you can:

From the sound of things you might want to get this program

???
i have winXP set up with multi user profiles & different screen res. works fine

I have used tweakUI and a few other things on the registry so maybe that explains why.

Hmmm I'd rather not spend money on something so trivial as this.

sweenster - do you know which program allowed you to do it? I could not find an option like that in tweakUI.

I'm not sure how it works... all i know is that when i change profile at the "loading personal settings bit" the screen goes black while the resolution changes. Afterwards if loads my individal settings as normal

Does that for me as well. Perhaps it is a difference between pro and home?
