Hows everyone, Need help!!! I have a site that im getting ready to start for a client. Realestate Brokers ( Leads website ) They want a list of catagories on the left side - (ie: ocean front,lake front, log cabin, etc.) Once you click on the catagory it takes you to a clickable North Carolina State map with cities. Then they click on a city - It the takes them to a form to fill out with contact information. So the catagory and the city need to import ( insert ) into a field in the form - can anyone give me some ideas here? I am lost here.........

I tried to get them to go with drop down list on a form - Did not want that.

Thanks in advance for all input. Lost in the dark, with no light

The easiest way to do with and the most reliable would be to use a server-side language like PHP or ASP.

What you need to do is send the first form onto the next page either using post or get form methods. Then your server side language can write the html for a hidden field in your next form that contains what they selected on the first page. Then once they make their choice on the second page, it does the same thing, it sends all the info to the third page and then that third page has some code to write two html hidden fields for the values of the user's choices.

Does that make sense? If you can say what server-side language your hosting supports, I'm sure myself or another member here could whip you up an example.

I understand the concept, But an example would be great. Im on a windows server and would prefer to use ASP. Oracleguy if you could whip me up an example I would forever be in your debt. I need to get started on this asap.

Im still in the dark, Whait - is that a light at the end of the tunnel.

Oracleguy,Thanks for the quick response

Page 1:

<form method="post" action="page2.asp">
<select name="cat">
<option="1">Cat1</option>
<option="2">Cat2</option>
</select>
<input type="submit" value="Submit">
</form>

page2.asp

<form method="post" action="page3.asp">
<input type="hidden" name="cat" value="<%= Request.Form("cat") %>">
<input type="text" name="somethingelse" value="">
<input type="submit" value="Submit">
</form>

You might want to go through some basic ASP tutorials if you don't know any so you can understand what I've done. But using this example you should hopefully be able to do what you want.
