View Full Version : Different server displays pages differently

I've been running a PHP/MySQL/html database for a couple of years and it's fine. I moved it all to another server and now the pages don't display properly. I'm using the same computer. Specifically, there's a gap at the top and sides of the page. For example: here (http://studentdb.hollosite.com/pages/addstudents.php). The middle table just sits in the centre, so there's no problem with that. But the band at the top should sit right at the top of the screen and extend to either side.

I use a Mac so maybe there isn't a gap on Window's machines? I would appreciate a screen shot if anyone would be kind enough. Even if it's fine on Windows, why would it change on my Mac?

Thanks for any help

(By the way, there's no proper data in the db yet so don't worry about destroying anything.)

Thanks a lot for the screenshot. So seems OK. Any idea why it's changed on my machine? It must be an HTML problem ?? If so, what has that got to do with the server? I'm using the same machine. But it has changed... I get into a rather circular thought pattern :(

By the way, what exactly is that white rectangle in the top (that says 'add student')?? That shouldn't be there.

Thanks,

the white rectangle at the top is part of the firefox tab, sorry i just cut part of the screenshot out because it was too big.

it's not part of your page

what browser are you running on your Mac? and what OS?
