Is a fully-loaded 3d program needed to produce decent looking wire-frame graphics?

There's many free programs that allow you to render in 3D. Head over to either the blender website (http://www.blender3d.com/) or the wings 3d website (http://www.wings3d.com/). You can download both of them for completely free for unlimited use.
