Now that the UNI.CC network are not offering DNS forwarding until 2005, does anyone know where you can get free DNS forwarding (I've seen nic.biz.ly, but any others would be good); just to use before I persuade my dad to by me a domain name :p .

Tell your dad to buy you the domain name, and show him
this thread in this forum.

In the U.S., a domain name is what $25-$40 bucks for two years?

Dad, the kid is 13 and interested in the internet ... the future is
wide open for your kid ... by him/her the domain name!

The re-direct stuff is worthless ... and you'll have to deal with the
search engines in the future. Don't waste your time with it.
Buy your own name.

I've always dealt with registerfly, but godaddy's a bit cheaper (prolly worth the difference for registerfly though...)

$10 a year is very very small.

As for forwarding, I think I've heard something about http://www.dhs.org/ regarding that?

Buy your own name.

Well, maybe not your own name (http://chilipie.com/), but something close could work, too. :D

I guess that's what I meant ...
I can't type very well. :(
