Hello. I've been web designing for several years now, and I know quite a bit about XHTML, PHP, and CSS, but I'm always learning.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions for my site. For instance, there is an odd white space below the banner in IE, but I can't seem to figure out how to fix it...

Yeah, I know it has a cuss word... but the site's not that bad. :D (replace the asterik with an H)

Thanks. (hope this is in the right forum)

(hope this is in the right forum)It's not. This should be in site reviews (http://codingforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=37).

Welcome to the forums!

Though I know this should move, I'll say my 2 cents and move on:

Not a bad design, although I'm not sure the place that purple color of some of your text has (right side header info - "Tagger" color- and color of "Recent Updates"). I see it in the clouds half of your header, but it just seems a bit off to me as I look at the site.

Rollover "About." At that spot, the left border of the dropdown menu looks odd because the main nav bar doesn't have a left border there.

Having a landing page for each area of your site would help. That is, when I click on "About," I want to go somewhere. That's the navigation paradigm I'm used to. Most other people are, too. Just have it be a page listing the dropdown menu options, nothing special. But give people the option to navigate by simply clicking on the nav elements. Then, on those landing pages, you could briefly explain what each of the dropdown elements are.

The image treatments on your dropdown menus should be consistent. Just about each image is different: one with a 1px black border, one with some padding and a 3px white border, one with a 2px red border. Be consistent in how you treat those.

Select "Previous Updates" in the "About" dropdown. Oops! It's too wide so it drops down to 2 lines. I don't like that. Also, I'd like to get to the archive section much quicker in the future. And I don't think I'd consider looking in the "About" section for those old postings.

I get what you're trying to do with that header image, but it doesn't work for me. It's too fragmented (bifrucated would be a good word, here). I think the image of the world black and white except in the side mirror is cool enough on its own.

There are my immediate impressions. Post back (I hope this moves to the right spot).

Just curious, what blogger are you using?

Except for my dream journal (http://dreaming.diebitc*.net), I'm not using a blogger.

I appreciate all your other suggestions. Some of the things you mentioned are things that irked me too. My biggest problem with the site it the nav... trying to find a way to organize all the content... I'll take what you said into mind.

And I usually have a link to the Previous Updates under the recent updates, but there are no previous updates yet. :p

My only issues are your background image, and the font you used for your navigation. Other than that, its laid out very well.
