Double-click the background layer.

when you save for web
remember to choose the background color of the transparent gif same as your background color
that is all

i dont know what those two above are about
transparent gif files can either be transparent or have a background colour, in your case you must have a background colour specified. if not, when you are saving it as a gif file, you need to enable transparency in the saving options, so save your image as a gif as usual and when all the options come up choose Transparency or what not, then it should work fine
hope it helps

The problem was, I wasn't saving the file as a gif, more so as a jpg. :p I've got it figured out now.
Thanks,
Nick!

I had the same problem I saved the pic as jpg till I later realized that png shows it transparent and png shows better quality than a jpg or a gif.
