New to Java and looking for some help (ok more then new, havn't even really started learning yet) :o

In my form I have an input button to Update or Submit
and a 2nd button to return to previous record select screen

The function below opens a new window with out menubar etc, what I want is to open "SelRecord.asp" in current window.

Thanks for any help in advance.
J.C.

<INPUT type="submit" value="Update record">
<input type=button onClick="Start('SelRecord.asp')" value="Return to Select">

Fuction code:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!-- Begin
function Start(page) {
OpenWin = this.open(page, "CtrlWindow", "toolbar=none,menubar=none,location=none,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes");
}
// End -->
</SCRIPT>

<INPUT type="submit" value="Update record">
<input type=button onClick="document,location.href='SelRecord.asp';" value="Return to Select">

You can also delete the <script></script> block unless you're using that same code somewhere else on the page.

Thanks once again :thumbsup:

Gosh I feel like I should be paying you or something

but not sure what pay scale to use here? :rolleyes:
A. Current pay for teachers --- next to nothing
B. Stuff learned by student --- think I'd go broke
C. Price per foot --- $1 per foot of instructor

:p

thanks and have a good week-end Roy
