putting up a forum or discussion page on my web

I want to put a forum or discussion group on my web site that is maintined locally. This is mainly going to be a place that members can post items for sale and some other information

Not sure if its possible or if I have to use an outside source, but if anyone knows how to, you guys do.

Havent tried it yet but it should be good!

This should be in the General Web Building forum. If your host provides access to PHP and Mysql I would recommend PHPBB. I use it and it was easy to install and administer. You might also check this place for other forum software:
