Has anyone happend across a half decent ActiveX tutorial? I'm looking to write an AcitveX control that will read a computer's hardware configuration, eg; mobo, chipset, hdd etc.. I can program in C++ and VB, and well MFC isn't particularily hard but I try to avoid it at all costs but I've just not go a clue about communication that has to go on and where to really begin with setting up such a control. The meat of it I can handle no sweat, but it's just getting started that I'm lost with.

Well, this has to work through a browser. Hence the use of activex. I have no problems getting the required info from the computer in any language, it's just that I have no idea how to actually write a control which will manage and send this data for me so that I can work with it serverside.
