Can You please critique my site design?

That's not a site; it's a comp at best.

I'm not too keen on the boxiness and all the heavy borders, nor am I a great fan of placing the menu next to what is supposed to be a header like that.

You don't seem to expect a lot of actual content, since there's very little room for that; guessing that this is the home page, the login and search boxes are far too dominant, both in size as in location.

All the gradients in the menu make it rather busy to the eye and don't improve legibility; the texts could be slightly bigger, too.

Lastly, the whole layout looks rather dark and monochrome: it's all blue...
