Good luckin', but full of nested tables and spacer .gifs. I quite like the dark look, but I prefer sites that aren't so "heavy". If you were going to improve one thing, it's the code that needs the most work. You'll find it a struggle at first, converting table cells to a style sheet, as everyone probably did, but in the end it'll be worth it :p .

Overall:
6/10, but 9/10 if you improve the code.

A few things:

- This site's a perfect candidate for CSS Posification :P Check out some tutorials on CSS positioning at alistapart.com or glish.com/css
- Your menu has more than the accepted standard of 6 or less top-level navigation items :P With this many menu items, you might want to consider a vertical menu. This would also fix my next point:
- The site's too wide. You have lines of text that are ~30 words long, which is annoying to read. A vertical menu floated left/right of the content would squeeze the content and make it easier to read.
- The google ads are a bit of an eyesore

Other than that, it looks good.
