I just found out that the PHP syntax highlighting vB Code does not ensure that backslashes are treated like they were entered in the form. They simply get stripped from the code.
That's quite a nuisance if you want to enter regular expressions. Anyway, they do appear if you enter the each backslash twice, like "escaping" the backslashes.
Just thought I'd mention it in case someone else is wondering what's happening. Perhaps a hint in the vB code help page would be good.
