View Full Version : Premade PHP Form Help

I got a form made from a website and when I hit submit it says error 'Post' not allowed.

it's not a PHP issue.

It's a webserver configuration issue : it's configured to not allow the post-method for your directory. Maybe try the 'get' method or else contact your host.

as raf said, its probably a server problem like a mis=configuration or something. However, having said that, I once encountered the same error when I was testing a cgi script i was coding. I changed the file permissions to 755 and then all was well and it worked, but usually if the chmod was wrong you would get a internal server error (500) error...

anyway, hope it works out ok

Like a said before, it was a premade script so I really am not sure how to go about fixing this problem, if you could tell me what to change I would greatly appreciate it.

I would but Im not sure what that means or how to do it, I have no PHP experiance, I just wanted a form and searched for a free one on google.

Hmm Im stil lkind of confused, it seems like a common problem, maybe ill try to use a differnt method.

Did you check your httpd.conf file? And check for what they had posted? Might be the same thing.
