Just for argument's sake: your mate is how old?

It's a typical personal site, full of... typical personal-site-thingies.

I think i'll leave it at that... Oh, guess he's really into monkeys, right? Oh well, I could always leave an entry in the "gustbook"... :p

He's 12 :p , a bit younger than me.

I hope this doesn't come off as too harsh, but you asked...

The biggest thing I see, apart from simply having no reason to look at the site other than to review it, is that the link rollover color is too dark. I can't read the links when I rollover them. And the animated monkey GIF on top is annoying.

There's a JS error on each page, though I'm not sure from what.

The fact that the menu moves down the page with you is not something I like. Put the menu where I can go back to find it. Concerned about people scrolling down the page and losing the menu? Don't be.

Also, a title on each page would be nice, just so I know where I am. A color change on that menu for the current page would help, too.

A unified color scheme would be nice. The jokes page is a different background color. And the orb background isn't working for me, either. And the black and gray of the page content doesn't mesh with the blues of the menu.

Well, he can join ranks with our esteemed member Error404; same age category, and actively building as well. If you can read, type, and use a computer, you can build sites (in principle).

I realize this is not so much a design issue, but it is a pet peeve of mine: Your spelling could be better. It just annoys me, sorry.

I figured that the improvements in spelling went without saying! Yikes!
