Flash start commandTRA1MEN 10-04-2004, 02:31 PM Hi please can you tell me how to hyperlink a start command for a flash application in HTML. Thanks TRA1MEN tsguitar2004 10-05-2004, 03:50 AM First off, welcome to the forums! Secondly, do you mean you want to start a Flash animation from a hyperlink? As far as I know, that can't be done. You can, however, put in a play button inside Flash and the give an onClick actionscript to that play button to advance to a specified frame in your Flash movie. Simply put, you can create something that *looks* like a regular hyperlink into Flash and have that be your play button. Can we see what you have so far? A link to your page, perhaps? -ts TRA1MEN 10-05-2004, 07:19 AM Hi The web pages are for inserting on a CD so cant help with a look see,if you can give me a couple of tricks to try would be grateful. Thanks TRA1MEN ]|V|[agnus 10-05-2004, 07:32 AM If you're distributing via CD, why not construct the whole interface in Flash or perhaps a Flash/Director hybrid? What reason do you have for making part of the interface HTML? TRA1MEN 10-05-2004, 09:53 AM The Flash part is movies that I want to add in the HTML and to start via the navigation menu, then burn onto CD. Thanks TRA1MEN ]|V|[agnus 10-05-2004, 03:39 PM I understand... I am asking you why you are using HTML at all in the first place if the app already makes use of a Flash interface and is being delivered on CD. It seems that the HTML interface elements are perhaps unecessary, and since they are hindering what you want to do here, we come back to my original question: why not just do the whole interface in Flash or perhaps a combination of Flash and Director or something like that? TRA1MEN 10-06-2004, 07:04 AM Thanks will look at that option. Regards TRA1MEN ]|V|[agnus 10-06-2004, 07:47 AM To be fair, I'm not certain I'm entirely clear on your intentions. For instance, if anything on this CD were ever intended to be distributed over a network, I could see the usefulness of some HTML foundation of some sort. TRA1MEN 10-07-2004, 09:18 AM Thanks, that was the intention to use over a network, thats why I wanted to incoperate useing part of the exsisting web progam on the intranet. |
