show folder contents in window

I have a folder in my site (virtual directory of a forms folder on the network) and I wanted to know if there was a way in JS to have a window pop-up which shows the contents of that folder, more or less the same view as if the user opened the folder from their desktop. The files and folders in this folder are updated often, so I need a way to not "hard code" the contents.

Not from javascript. Javascript is client side code, you need server side code to enumerate the directory and display it but before you go to that effort see if you can enable the directory display for that directory in the web server itself. Most web servers have such a capability built in but it's usually disabled because most sites don't want people to be able to "see" the files in a directory.
