Displaying recent 10 posted events

i m using MSSQL as the database and coldfusion as the server.. i need to call out the recent 10 posted events and i m wondering how to do it.. i m new to tis .. Please help... thanks in advance...

Store the datetime the event is submitted, then select the top 10 while ordering on date descending
