Hi

I wanna show a progress bar with message when my php script is working in background to the user who has submitted the form.

my output is inside a table, and it would show the progress bar with message till the complete table is loaded .

How can I do this?

thanks.

you can't with PHP.

well, you could if your script runs on a server that allows you to send the buffers content to the client before scriptexecution + if the user uses a browser that displays content before the page is completely loaded.
Especially this last condition is something you can't control. A good browser, wount display any cell of a table untill the table is completely loaded, so nothing would show in your case.

in theory you could output a little bit of javascript after every few table rows that would update a progress counter at the top.

So whats the point of table-layout: fixed; then?
