I'm getting a 12" G4 iBook soon, which is of course white, but I'd like it to be off-white - like, just slightly orange, or green or pink - a pastel shade, maybe even slightly translucent.

Can this be safely acheived?

Spray paint. Tape off the sections you don't want the paint to get on.

Spray Paint won't work, the plastic itself is white, so the only way in the paint the outside, I'll just post a link in a min...

From the links I posted it seems to me that the plastic is not white but instead white paint. So once you remove the white paint you can spray paint it whatever color you want.

On the G3 iBooks it was white paint, but on the G4 iBooks it was white plastic ;)

On a thought, why did you spell colour color, my fellow country man (counting where we live as the UK, not England, Scotland and Wales...).

Force of habit really .. sometimes I remember to use colour, and sometimes I don't. It seems safer to err on the side of americanisms .. no point trying to buy Rizlas, Courgettes or Mange-tout in Los Angeles .. and definitely don't ask someone if you can bum a ***..

You see? it got starred out .. and *** isn't even a swear word to us ... but it doesn't know about bollocks, does it ;)

I spell colour colour, because I think of color as a coding term, like all other code which means nothing in English English :p

Means nothing in English? I saw my previousSibling the other day, and he has a firstChild .. I live in a global variable now, but I used to live in an array - flat[0] in fact :D
