So I wanted to try if this bridge would work as an airport alternative, not only for me but for others, so I borrowed a friendly IT guys one. Now, the wireless bridge sees my WLAN line, and shows me that it is receiving and sending information, yet it is not letting me go on the internet

After 4 phone calls with Linksys and two emails, and sincere language barriers I must add do to their outsourcing of IT, I've come up with little ways of making this work. What I've done is follow their directions and repeat multiple times, but here is some of the confusion:
My roommate has an airport extreme card in his Mac that with the following info =
IP address: 67.180.54.87
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.128
Router: 67.180.54.1

After setup, I manually applied the following information:
IP: 192.168.1.5
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Router: 192.168.1.1

This allows me to access the routers setup up page just fine. But the specifications tell me to turn my Manually applied IP's into Apple's specific "using DHCP" so that it creates it's own IP and communicates. It does so and gives me:
IP: 169.254.160.159
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
Router: it's blank

So that I can continue to access the setup page I have mimicked my IP to the bridge (changing the last three digits), this allows me to continue to check for setup information. Still no internet.

Linksys in their last email advised me to link up directly to the access point and find the DNS information on that so that it can connect properly... however, all my attempts at that are not happening -- neither I, nor my roommate know the IP address to type into the router so I can get the IP address of that router (it's his, he's had it for a while now). And Linksys seems to possibly be confused, they are telling me to link up to the Wireless G to get the DNS, but is that Access Point going to give me that, or is it the Comcast High-Speed router I need to find out from?

This is a nightmare. And nobody seems to have an answer, apple developers are not even suppling me with the right info.

What does it say in System Prefs>Network>Network Status?
