right, there are two bugs on my computer, which arent damning, but are very iritating.
BUG 1: my icons keep chaning, yes thats right. some days i open up my documents, and find all my .txt files for example have the firefox logo for example. any file type can change to any program icon. its a right pain, becuase to get rid of it. i have to go into the extension manager, select any file type (not essiscarily the one/ones thats/ that are broken) and select an icon for it (ijust select the same icon) clikc ok, refresh and thats it. any ideas?

BUG 2: now this one is a bit trickier,
after haivng PNGs break on my computer (and repairing with regserv32 :s) now my images have gone completly screwy. when i scoll down a webpage (browser independent), i get glictchs like these (see attached image).

thank you :)

The first is probabaly something to do with the icon assigned to the file types. You're going to need to set each one :O)

As for the second problem... that looks like some sort of rendering issue? Does this happen in ANY browser? Maybe the browser(s) is trying to render every image type as a PNG after you did this PNG fix thingy!?

The first one is simple: icons are cached, sometimes the icon cache gets jumbled up, and it uses the wrong icons for hte wrong things. The signal that this is the case is tht ALL icons that should be of one type are wrong, so it's always all textfiles that have firefox icons, never just a single textfile, the rest having the normal icon. The trick is to reset the icon cache, something which TweakUI, WinHack and other programs can assist you with.

The second problem I'm not familiar with, but use Google on the Microsoft Knowledge base and see if you can't find something there. (Google are better at searching Microsoft than Microsoft are...)
