Hello everyone, I heard somewhere you can get free domain names if you just put ads on your site does anyone have any info on that?
Thanks, Alessandro

There's no such thing as a free lunch. I'd expect you'll be able to use a domain name out of a list, you'll not actually own it or be able to transfer it or anything like that.

domainzero.com used to do just that in return for you giving them an email address to spam. Guess what? Last I checked, they are far from free now. :D
Though, whoever is in charge of .tk is giving them away for free (with the limitation that mouse said, i.e. you don't *really* own the domain name).

And what happens if your site becomes really popular? You're gonna wish you owned that domain name yourself when they turn round and ask a four-figure sum to transfer it to you ...

Just real quick ...
I've had experience with these companies - namedemo.com and namezero.com and what they do is use you to think of these great domains. They fork out the money for registration. Then after the first year they cancel your "free" account and then want to chaarge you out the *** for a domain that THEY now own.
I used to use them cause I had a script that broke out of their ads. "Give to the needy, not to the greedy!"
