Alright, so I just bought a 50 dollar case that seems to be working pretty good. However, I just found out that our company recently aquired some pretty rad server cases (picture attached). The things are over 6 feet tall, come with some pretty heavy duty fans on top, and are just all around awesome. We only have a couple left, and I have an option to buy one. What do you think?

I just bought a house so I would either use it as a entertainment center for all the x-boxes/gamecubes/ps2s/vcrs/dvd players and as a network server (throw a bunch of hard drives in there and then raid card them to act as a shared storage space for everyone in the house), or even just throw my comp stuff in it. I dont know.

What do you guys think? I mean its only another $50 bucks....

Those fans in the top are going to be a lot noiser in your living room than they seem to be in an office environment but unless you put a lot of equiment into that rack you're not going to be generating that much heat and it might be possible to disable them. Honestly though, that's not home furniture and you may have quite a time making it fit with the rest and while that may not be important right now, bring a woman into the picture later and it's a whole lot 'nother story.

Hahaha, no kidding! I dont plan on getting that far with one until I at least get out of college, but your right...

I think I will buy one though...but keep coming with the suggestions. As for the other ones, we have about 4 more complete individual units, and then a whole bunch that have either 1 or no sides (they can connect to form 1 big one along a wall). I am going to put them up on e-bay in a few days, so I will post a thread in this forum to let you guys know.
