Hi,

I've been trying to implement an ASP Email script ( http://www.brainjar.com/asp/formmail/ ) for my work's web site. I read the instructions on what to change as far as emails and whether CDONTS, etc. I also made sure the SMTP service got installed. Well, the script works great, but the email does not go out. It's stuck in the queue folder.

We're running:

Windows 2000 Server w/SP4
IIS 5
.net 1.1 framework is installed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Hector

Try using CDO for Win2k instead of CDONTS. CDO for Win2k is the newer implementation. It has a few changes.

<%
'add this at the top of the page
%>
<!--METADATA TYPE="typelib" UUID="CD000000-8B95-11D1-82DB-00C04FB1625D" NAME="CDO for Windows 2000 Library" -->
<%
Dim objCDO, strFrom, strTo, strCC, strBCC
Dim strSubject, strMessage

Set objCDO = Server.CreateObject("CDO.Message")
objCDO.To = strTo
objCDO.From = strFrom
objCDO.ReplyTo = strFrom
'used for carbon copy
'objCDO.cc = strCC
'used for blind carbon copy
'objCDO.bcc = strBCC
objCDO.Subject = strSubject
'if you want to send as html formatted message
'objCDO.HTMLBody = strMessage
'Use this to send as plain text message
objCDO.TextBody = strMessage
objCDO.Send()

'display a message on succesfully sending the mail
If err.number = 0 Then
Response.write "The Message has been sent"
End If

Set objCDO = Nothing
