DESPERATELY need a web host!

Where can I find a FREE web host that had PHP and MySQL!!!

I want it to be free, because it's only for a short while, and only for testing. I can't use Apache because for SOME reason, no one else can access it and I've tried time and time again to fix that.

Can anyone help me?

I must have downloaded, installed, and tested phpdev5 on my system at least 5 times, but it hasn't forked for me once. Well, it works for me, but when I refer people to my DNS address it doesnt work for them (but my DNS address works for me).

I have tried to find a good free server, I failed. I keep finding large problems. Like Dreamwater's computer errors. Sure I had my site backed up twice on my computer, but having to re-upload everything twice a month on a 56k, how annoying.....

Bottom line - there aren't any free servers without ads. Even if you find one, it will have gone bankrupt or changed the rules within 3 months.

If you want a reliable, ad-free server, you have to pay for it.

Dreamwater is a free host without adds.

Only place adds are at is in the fileuploader...

ohhhh wait, there were pop ups , but I downloaded popup stopper, heh heh. The pop up adds where only on 404 error pages and the Dreamwater pages itself....

Speaking of going under, 2 of my 4 affilates lost theire servers from that in the last 2 months (then again a thrid lost his from having illegal files on his site and then his server went under, lol)

A good site that I have found was Host Department (http://free.hostdepartment.com). Free Service won't comply with XHTML, though. That's why I'm not with them. If you don't have to have the extras in hosting, I'd recommend hosting on an ISP server (Not AOL though, it's ad loaded). I use RoadRunner's Personal Home Page service (funny how that stands for PHP :D ) The URL, URI in W3 terms, is a bit long but CJB (http://www.cjb.net/) offers redirection for free (I don't use the cloaking) The above setup works for me. It's only for people with basic page needs, unless you can find a reliable service that has the extras you need.

I have gone with them. However, even though you get lots of space and there are no ads, except for one line you need to insert in your main page, the server is slow x.x;

I also unfortunately joined after they decided to get rid of the free stats and some other good things. If you need a site right away, here's one but I don't recommend staying there if you are not the one to be waiting to have your pages load quickly. Mind you, there has been those odd days where things zip along.
