Counter, real one

I'm searching a real counter.... but I can't find one :(
can anybody tell me where I can find a real counter (that really displays the number of people who visited my site)

define 'real'.

if you mean realy counting all unique living visitors, then i'd say it's nearly impossible to set up such a counter (unless you only allow cookie-enabled users, but thats not 'real' in my book).
The performancedrop of a 'real', universal, counter could be much to severe for such a 'nice-to-have' feature..

no I mean one that counts the number of personnes that have been on my site.... not unique living visitors...

but that shaun inman's stat is nothing I like.... sorry
