I've been asked to create a site for a film maker in my local area.

he's going to be selling his video online (e-commerce stuff then) and would like small clippets of the video to be made available.

I've advised that the best way to do this would just be to have small .avi or the like files for download from the website.

But I don't know how to do this! I have at my disposal Mac OS X, which means I have iMovie to use for this.

After asking others, I've been told that if it's a digital camera all you need is a firewire cable to do it, meanwhile if an analog-outputting camera it's gotta have a capture card of some sort.

how would I go about doing this task? is it possible?

i need amjor help here people because I'm feeling out of my depth! :(

Sarah.

I'd definitely check out Adobe Premiere...

If is to do with video capture, editing, converting...
you'll probably find what you need here.
