Hm, dunno if this is a good place for this question or not, but I'm looking to add a forum to a website I run. Does anyone know where I can find a forum that works by email as well as online? Like a Yahoo group? I want one I can integrate into my website, but my users like the participate-by-email option that you have with Yahoo groups.

Thanks for any suggestions,
Phyllis

Be extremely hard to find something like that. It's usually a custom made program that does things like that. What serverside language does your server support?

Yeah I figured. I haven't given up hope yet though. I can run PHP programs (as well as regular CGI / Perl). I *thought* I read that Ultimate BB can do digests also so I'm gonna check it out next (at a glance I didn't see anything like that though). I can't afford custom-made though I am looking at paid forums (of course). I had put up a regular forum (just a basic one), but everybody asked me to switch to Yahoo Groups. The Yahoo groups are ugly (imo) and I can't incorporate them into my site, but my users like them better. Some of them *only* want to participate by email.

Irritating,
Phyllis

Hm, I thought of another option. I might use a Yahoo Group for the Discussion Board (I'm thinking I won't be able to find a forum that will work for that since my members like email) and maybe using a forum for a "News" section. Anyone know of any flat forums? I wouldn't want this one threaded because there would only be one topic (News) which would make it redundant to always click on News to get to it. So now I'm interested in finding a flat forum, preferably one that allows attachments. Maybe there's some other type of script that would work better (for a News section) than a regular forum? Any ideas?
