Help with small text prob please?

Recently my computer stoped working...When we got a new one we had a later version of windows than we did before and some of the fonts were missing. That was when i got a problem with msn and some web pages:

My msn name and web page text apears just as boxes.

Im not sure if this is because the font isnt on my computer anymore or mabey a virus.
Any suggestions?

Often times fonts are installed with certain software programs that are installed, etc...

Also - we sometimes download fonts and then forget we ever did it.
