I've heard that different versions of ASP are different, besides PHP is more reliable, by saying reliable I don't know what I mean! I just heard it, so, even though ASP.Net solved lots of problems, but I'm still dubious about choosing them, what do you suggest, I know that it's a very general question, but I'd like to ask it before I start anything.:o

Really they are both very easy to learn, and all server-side solutions can do pretty much the same things... although I work with ASP every day, I'm learning PHP as well to be more versatile... slowly but surely!
Lots of people will probably tell you to go with PHP, because you'll probably find more resources on the net, and it seems a little bit easier to install and configure (not to mention the cost, FREE!).
Don't count out ASP or ASP.Net totally though, they are also very capable, and there are probably still more paying jobs out there for people with Microsoft compatible knowledge... and I've just scratched the surface of ASP.Net - it looks great though ;)

I don't know of any resources for PHP online, offhand, except
but just google it - with "PHP tutorials" - and I'm sure you'll find plenty to work with! You also might check out firepages' site at:
He has a really nice pre-configured setup you can download that will install Apache Server, MySQL, and PHP already set up for Windows in 'swell foop' for ya!
