www.phpbb.com
it's free, should work on any server and with most databases. it's fairly big, but any great message board engine is gonna be pretty large. as far as that goes, installation is a breeze. HIGHLY recommended.

Erm, you upload it to your site. No need to point it anywhere.

sry my question didn't come out clear.
Anyway to upload it to my server, without going on computer first> I have about 2 gigs free and when it drops to about 1.8 gigs its harde to get it to dload stuff with stopping.
When i bought the comp about 2 months ago it had 2.5 spar gigs (outta 4) and i have added so much stuff and still have more coming.
Thanks

Download it to your pc, upload it to your site after changing the config file then you can delete it off your pc

the whole package is 615kb. should be safe to download and delete. If you are worried though clear all temp files that should be enough to clear up that much space :)

Yeah i dloaded it. I thought someone told me it was decent sized or something.
I know absolutly nothing about PHP a friend just recomened it, and i opened it...hmmm, yup didn't understand bleepin thing they said. Ah well, it can stay there and when i learn PHP, i will use it then.
Thanks,

wow, i thought it was bigger than that, like 1.2 megs or something. anyway, yeah... size is relative. i'd consider that to be fairly big, but it's really nothing to worry about at all.
as for using it... i know NOTHING about php, and i had very little trouble installing it. just use the readme and install files, and if you need actual assistance, check out their support forums (at www.phpbb.com)
trust me, it's a piece of cake. all you really need to know is your database name, username, and password to install it. it's really just as simple as uploading the whole thing to your server, editing about four lines in the config file, running the install.php file, answering a couple of dumb questions, and then making the actual categories and getting people to join (the hardest part by far).

Do you know of any free host that offer PHP as an opinion to the free customers???
Yeah 615 wasn't nothing, i unzipped it and uploaded it, i have some stuff coming in the mail that will eat that 2 gigs left and some.. :-(
Anyways......thanks i will go see what i can do, as about reading the directions.....
Thanks

I heard there was a security issue that enabled people to run scripts in the signature/image form box?
