http://www.pihs.com/blogger-feed.png (http://www.google.com/googleblog/atom.xml) MyDoom= Global Worming (http://www.cre8asiteforums.com/redirect/jump.php?url=lmth.gnimrow-labolg%2F70%2F4002%2Fgolbelgoog%2Fmoc.elgoog.www%2F%2F%3Aptth): This attack was severe enough that at least one search engine’s (Google) servers were taken down. Or at least that’s what the image posted by Andy Beal (http://www.cre8asiteforums.com/redirect/jump.php?url=lmth.kcatta-snd-rednu-elgoog%2F70%2F4002%2Fmoc.nwodwolenignehcraes.www%2F%2F%3Aptth) would lead some to believe. However, according to Google’s blog, their servers were not taken down; rather they blocked those who were infected with the virus and its automated search queries. What's MyDoom again? Here's a technical explanation (http://www.cre8asiteforums.com/redirect/jump.php?url=62-70-4002D3%25etadF3%25php.yraidF2%25gro.snas.csiF2%25F2%25A3%25ptth%3Dq%26D%3Das%3Flru%2Fmoc.elgoog.www% 2F%2F%3Aptth) of the MyDoom virus and how it works....

I was never infected but I got that -27 server error most of the day on Monday....

But then again, I constantly click thru Google when I am browsing from site to site just to screw up the referrer from where I truly came from. But then again, I have cookies blocked for Google and use a proxy, so maybe they had the proxy on their infected IP list ;)

And FWIW, I also had problems with Altavista on monday.
They're server was down for a few hours also....
