I am looking for a 'FREE' whole site template to do a hosting site for me and my mates (not commercial). I need it to be in PHP only (if that is possible) and to be a whole site, with login (preferably flat line) and all the bits like uploading, It does not need to have a page editor and things, just a simple hosting site. I do not know verry much about PHP, but I am learning, that is why I need to fing one, I will co throught every page and see what each bit does.
Thank you,
Craig.

I am not sure what you would be trying to accomplish with this. The best way to learn anything would be to do it yourself. Not just reading somebody else's code. Plus I don't think you are going to get many people to give away what they wrote without charging you. I would say your best best is to hit W3 Schools (www.w3schools.com) and start out by learning PHP and HTML if you don't already know it.
But hey thats just my opinion, maybe somebody out there is more generous than I.

You won't find it as a template. Sounds like you're looking for something like phpnuke (http://phpnuke.org) or something with a skinable function

What I am realy looking for is a low maintenance pre-built hosting site... So I can host my friends sites, and they dont have to come around my house and put all theur stuff onto my server, less hastle...

Can't you just create users on your hosting account? I doubt you'd find someting like that for free. Hosting is a good money earner, so I doubt programmers would create something like that for free when people going into hosting have plenty of $$$

I guess so..., but, If someone could tell me a script that uploads files to a file set in the script (so you tell the script where to put the files) thank you...
Craig.

As mentioned before, I doubt if you'll find a complete, install-n-run package - at least not for free, but there are a number of good script resources where you can find most if not all components of such a solution. You could look at Hotscripts (http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/index.html), and Weberdev (http://www.weberdev.com/) has tons of PHP stuff.
You will need at least need some PHP knowledge to combine this into a working solution, though.
