Several recent threads in DOM scripting (http://codingforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15) seem to defy the guidelines (http://codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=12631).

That doesn't fit the bill.

This is not a matter of offensive content, but one of misplaced topics (which could detract from search relevance). Many threads appear to belong in the JS forum.

Posting in the wrong forum is rude, "Report A Post" is allowed for that.

Or do the Mods here disagree? (Important, if they don't want them reported that way then...).

I agree with Roy, just report the threads in question and they will be taken care of.
