guys & gals. can anyone help

my main window(parent) launches a popup window(child). there are buttons on the child window to change the style sheet on the parent page.

here the line of code im using

onclick="window.opener.setActiveStyleSheet('main',1);"

but i am getting an error on that line "permission denied"

i know my function setActiveStyleSheet('main',1); works as i have tested it from the parent.

what am i doing wrong ???

could it be that you've got no code ... no wait a minute, you haven't posted that yet so we don't actually know wot the problem could be!!

post your code, and maybe we can see from that.

actually, first of all there is no method called setActiveStyleSheet() that belongs to the opener object. that's your first problem right there.

still post your code, though :)

As I said from the original thread, it might be the child window is in a different domain as the main window.

wot's the URL?
It's in the Post A Javascript forum, so it might be deleted. That's why I didn't post it earlier. But there's no additional info, still the same post by the original poster. But in case it's still there: http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=41650
