Win 98 - Explorer panel prob

I re-installed windows a couple of months ago, and ever since, the preview panel thing on the left of the explorer window has gone all weird.

This (http://www.iowbreaks.com/two.jpg) is how all the folder panels should look

This (http://www.iowbreaks.com/one.jpg) is how they all look now... except the windows, program files, dial up networking and recycle bin folders and a few others, which look normal like before.

I've re-installed windows 98 3 times since, and it doesn't change it... i've looked at all the folder options but nothing works.

Those huge icons and grey lines are really beginning to annoy me... any ideas why its changed and how I can make it look like it should do ?

Actually, that is the window design for Windows 95 (after the IE integration update). Yes, you're getting Win95 windows. Granted I'm not sure how to fix it, but that's what's up...
