Hello,

I got a new entertainment center for my room the other day and I am in need of more space and if my computer desk was gone I'd have enough room.... my idea was to have my computer tower on my entertainment center and use the TV as a monitor.... so my question is what type of hardware would I need to accomplish this if it is at all possible.

Thank you,
-Jason

It can be done, your video card would need an s-video or RCA out. Be aware though that unless you have an HDTV the resolution will be so poor that it will be difficult to read text. Will work great for movies and games though.

you could always make your computer monitor into a television using a TV card - u can get them just about anywhere. - That way u get a decent pic for your PC and for your TV :)

yes this can definately be done..and after researching on microsofts site i was trying to see of you could connect a digital freeview box to a pc and watch broadcasts that way.....

Figured if you can connect your computer and use your HDTV as a monitor then you could maybeee use your digital receiver and find the correct connecting cables SCART/USB/or i think its called RGV or UBV (???) cables to connect it to your PC......

but yes you can definately get that done but as Basscsyt said you will need the right outputs.. :-)

basically a freeview box goes inbetween your roof areial and your tv. All the cabling is the same so that its easy to add in. So you could connect the output of your freeview box into your Tv cards areial socket and connect the freeview box to your roof areial (like a video recorder).

Its like you press 6 on my tv to go to the free view box output and then change remotes.
