I would like to set an introductory "password-quizz" as part of a set of tutorial pages which must be passed before first-time "NEW" students can move on to next page of tutorials, but in such a way that when they have passed this introductory test they - now as "OLD" students - can thereafter go straight to the other pages without having to pass the introductory test again, or having to memorise/record the URL of the next page - can this be done?

I have got some Java scripts for my quizzes with which I can "send" a "successful" student via a "submit" button to the next page - could there be some "form" at the end of the quizz which once completed by a "successful" student would give him an identity to use and bypass the intro quizz - I guess its like there being password for the next page which the successful students would get and then enter each time they opened the introductory "password-quizz" and which would take them to the next page.

I am looking for the simplest solution possible. Could it be done via a simple form which when filled in correctly, with some phrase, and OK'd would open the desired page?

Sorry about length of my question - any help much appreciated and thanked for in advance

Not sure about this. But you could set a cookie that either has the URL of the last page, and it redirects to that page or stores the passwords that have been entered. The problem with cookies is they can get erased.

I wouldnt really worry about the cookie being deleted, and I think its the only way to do it with js...
