Wouldn't allow a Mac user one, even through IE -- otherwise i would have laid it on and been kicked out permanently.

You didn't miss anything interesting. Only a bunch of MS fanboys (yes they exist) claiming IE6 renders pages, and I quote "brilliantly". The IE developers themselves never gave any definite answers on their planed standards implementations.
They also said they plan making the chats a monthly thing and are also planning an IE developer’s blog.
I'm sure someone will come up with a transcript soon.
