I am looking for a pro/paid ( no ads) remotely hosted discussion forum. Which one do you suggest?

Chatbear (http://www.chatbear.com) will be offering this service soon. See his subscription service link for information on rates and capabilities.

I went thru this 6 months ago looking for a great board. After signing up for most of the remotely hosted, I found they were either wildcarded, didn't work, or were just plain lame. After my research, I found that Best Boards (http://bb.bbboy.net/) was, indeed, the best remotely hosted board. Free with an ad or paid for $2.50 a month without.

Another option would be to use a PHP host (free or paid) and use one of the several new boards coming out. Since this is all the rage now, Hotscripts has several new PHP boards as well as other languages.

With mySQL usually a paid option (free @ Tripod.co.uk), you can use a PHP board without it by searching for flat-file or text-file boards. This type of board just requires you to make 2 folders for passwords and messages. There's a new one @ Hotscripts under PHP bulletin/message boards that worked pretty well and was fully customizable.

Happy Posting
