Bluetooth and infra-red Java or VB6

I'm wantin to satart incorporating bluetooth and infrared into my Java programs. does anybody have either the java libraries i need to use, or sample code of how to introduce the required classes? muchly appreciated in advance.

How are separate bluetooth connections kept from interfering with each other, and the communications kept secure from intrusion and eavesdropping?

I presume each signal send, has device id in it, guessing.
