This is a personal site set up by me and my girlfriend. Melly & Barney's World (http://melly-and-barney.i8.com)

Please critique our site. Some of the links in our menu are currently unavailable. And we are creating a banner type logo to cover the advertisement. Please comment on any aspect of the website at all.

If you also know how to make the menu into a .js file please PM me so that i dont have to update all the webpages.

It kind of loooks like you did this in a WYSIWYG editor. Your code is not to the W3C standards, and somewhat messy. The images also took a long time to load. I also personally dont like Tile Backgrounds on webpages.
I dont want to seem too harsh :D It looks like your just starting out with web design, and if you are, good luck! You may want to check out the W3C (world wide web consortium) website at http://www.w3.org . Sorry if I seemed a litttle harsh in this post...

hmm.... not bad for a first attempt at web design - 5/10.

BUT you've used the font "Times New Roman" on your page.... (This is my pet hate) Times was meant for writing letters - not for looking good. Go with the "Arial" font that you've used for your menu system.

Pop up banners and windows are a big no no. I would try changing web host to something else... do you not get some free space with your internet provider?

As l3vi said the repeating background does the page no favours at all. Why not try swapping the colours around? Use a white background, black & orange text, and put the menu and any page headers in the purple background?... just a suggestion, but its your page and if you like it and you think it looks good then go for it.

Simply dont do this using Javascript for something as important as navigation is a no no becuase 13% of users have it disabled use SSI(Server Side Includes) or PHP includes much easier and no accessibilty woe.
