Sliding menu that's IE and Netscape friendly

Hi,

I found an IE friendly menu which I can modify to my needs however it isn't Netscape friendly.

My goal is to have a list of items that when clicked on will shift other items down and reveal a description. When done reading the description they can click in the link again and it'll shift the other list items back up.

Do you have any suggestions on how to make this Netscape friendly or do you know of any programming that would allow for what I'm asking for.

Please note that the project I'm working on will not allow external javascript files to be used.

I think if you replace toggleMenu() with the following, it should work in any browser that supports DOM.

function toggleMenu(currMenu) {
currMenu = document.getElementById(currMenu);
if(currMenu.style.display == "block") {
currMenu.style.display = "none";
}
else {
currMenu.style.display = "block";
}
return false;
}
